As we know our dear members love a good Côtes du Rhône, we have found this very interesting range of wines from Gabriel Meffre, a very traditional winemaker from the Rhône Valley. Laurus was created in 1994 by Gabriel Meffre to extract the best of all the different Rhône terroirs. The brand name comes from the roman laurel crown, symbol of quality and success. It clearly expresses the winemaker intentions to only use the best grapes for its wines!
Meffre has developed very solid partnerships with winegrowers in the Rhône Valley to secure the quality of the grape they buy for Laurus. Combined with their own expertise, the result is a very consistent range that is highly regarded by the most influent wine critics like Robert Parker or The Wine Spectator. Laurus is definitely a great example of what the Rhône grapes can produce we have selected a few very typical bottles for you to enjoy.
From the classic medium-bodied Crozes Hermitage to the strong Gigondas and Vacqueyras, you will find here some great bottles to enjoy the variety of the Rhône Valley!
