This week Your Sommelier has chosen to come up with a true bargain from Saint-Emilion. Chateau Saint-Valery is a small family domain doing just 2 different cuvées, which gives you an easy choice. The first cuvée is their classic Saint-Emilion, delicious and very affordable for the appellation. The second is their Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, made with the best grapes of the vineyard and for which we have picked the 2010 vintage, one of the best ever in Bordeaux. It’s an absolute must for the price.
And because sometime we think more is better, both cuvees are also available in magnum… So if you want to treat yourself and impress your guests, go for the magnums!
