Vincent Stoeffler wine

Vincent Stoeffler wine

Vincent Stoeffler has been our first ever Alsace producer and he remains our best discovery in the region! We were looking for the perfect little gem that would stands out in many ways and we tasted quite a few producers before selecting this small family estate. Since then, Vincent is getting more and more recognition in France but and we easily understood why after tasting his wines.

Split among the very best vineyards of Alsace, the estate has entirely been converted to organic agriculture - Organic certification but Vincent actually follows many Biodynamic principles . He strongly believes in respect of the environment to make sure that his wines get the best of the various terroirs. All the wines are delicate, fruity and fresh. The Pinot Blanc is soft and easy, his Rieslings are absolutely superb, and so is the Crémant Blanc de Blancs (Sparkling). Finally, we could not complete our selection without a “Vendanges Tardives” or “Late Harvest”. So if you like sweet wines, do not miss the opportunity to snap a few bottles of this luscious sweet wine!

Pinot Blanc is the white version of Pinot Noir that can be found mainly in Alsace, Germany and Italy. Not as prestigious as other Alsace grapes, it produces a lovely dry wine with an obvious roundness due to its low acidity. Light-bodied and dominated by flavours of exotic fruit and white peach, it also exhibits pronounced aromas of flowers on the nose...

This organic Riesling, from the most typical grape in Alsace, is made from various old vines of Domaine Vincent Stoeffler. Intense notes of citrus and orange are nicely balanced with acidity, bringing a fresh tone into the wine. We particularly like the hint of honey on the finish. A great entry-level Riesling we were grateful to discover and that we...

Made from a blend of different white grapes - Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois - it is a round, creamy and fruity Crémant delivering notes of peach and apricot. This is a great alternative to Champagne and our top pick for...

Gewurtztraminer is a famous local grape producing very fruity, slightly sweet and spicy white wines with low acidity - they are definitely unusual wines! This one has an explosive nose of ripe mango, yellow peach and papaya with delicate notes of rose and chilli. It is slightly sweet and has a super-long finish. Very special, very Gewurtztraminer!

We have been instantly charmed by this Pinot Noir coming from a specific plot (or "lieu-dit") in Ribeauvillé, developing complex aromas of black cherry and blackberry, with a welcome hint of sweet spices. Beautiful finish with silky tannins and a great minerality, very typical of this terroir. A great example of what Alsace can offer when it comes to red...

"Vendanges Tardives" means the wine was made from grapes harvested later than usual, when the "noble rot" or Botrytis Cinerea starts to affect the grapes, making them loose almost all their water content. Thanks to its complex aromas and good acidity, Riesling is on of the most amazing grapes for late harvest wines - and you'll certainly realise it with...
