Commanderie de la Bargemone wine
The Commanderie de la Bargemone is an old domain, founded by monks during the 13th century. With 66 hectares of vines, it produces different wines of a steady quality, thanks to a careful blend of grapes and the domain is now fully converted to organic agriculture.
We have of course picked la Bargemone for its outstanding rosé wines, which we are ourselves going to drink all summer. Nevertheless we strongly recommend trying the white and red, which are excellent wines in their category. The red cuvée Marina, showing a rare complexity and balance for this kind of price is probably the biggest surprise we’ve had in our recent tastings… simply outstanding!
The entry-level white of the Domain is a typical summer white. Light, crisp and fresh with vibrant flavours of grapefruit and lime. Offering a good balance, this is a really well-made, affordable white from Provence. This is another great example of what you can get for under £10 and never be disappointed!
