Pascal Lejeune champagne wine

Pascal Lejeune champagne wine

Champagne Pascal Lejeune is our latest discovery in a region where finding the perfect Grower Champagne is like searching for a needle in a haystack! This small family estate produces brilliant and unique Champagne Cuvées: their Brut Non Vintage is a real catch and definitely beats most House Champagne you would find at a much higher price.

On their vineyard of just 4 hectares, Pascal, Sandrine and their son Thibault grow the 3 main Champagne grapes - Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir - with sustainable farming practice. They have always taken into consideration the environmental aspect of winemaking and we can taste the result in all their cuvées. From the Brut and Brut Réserve to the Blanc de Blancs or 2000 Vintage, all have a unique character and delicate freshness that we love in Champagne.

Some might remember that it was our Champagne pick last Christmas and we are now offering the full range for you to try. Trust Your Sommelier, they all deserve to be here today and whichever you choose, we are confident that you will love them and call for more!

This Brut is the perfect example of what a talented Champagne-grower can achieve and it doubtlessly competes with any Brut Champagne on the market! This is a blend of Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay from different vintages (like most Non-Vintage Champagnes) that has spent 3 years bottled in the cellar before being released - vs 18 months for most of its...

The Cuvée de Réserve comes from plots classified as 1er Cru and has more Chardonnay than the Brut, which brings some acidity and freshness. Aromas of pastry and brioche are combined with notes of ripe white fruits and citrus. On the palate, fine bubbles, followed by a nice dry and creamy finish. Interesting to see the level of complexity of a Brut...

More and more popular, a Champagne Rosé always brings a touch of elegance to your glass. Pale pink colour, light and aromatic, it develops lovely notes of small red fruits on the palate. The fine bubbles and the long finish makes it a delicious Champagne to pair with a red fruit tart or just on its own for a few drinks!

Finish is super-long, nicely creamy with a hint of citrus and a very well...

The jewel in the crown! This 2000 vintage Champagne has something really special: partially vinified in oak then aged for over 15 years in the bottle (!), it's an exceptional bottle for any amateur if vintage Champagne. It starts on a fresh and aromatic nose, followed by notes of honey, toast and a salty minerality. The palate shows a high level of...
