Bourgueil Les Galichets 2011 - Domaine de la Chevalerie

Domaine de la Chevalerie is a small hidden gem in the Loire Valley, managed by the same family for over 400 years. Parcel by parcel, they grow vines and elaborate wine as traditionally as possible - and of course, this is all organic. Made of 45 to 60 year-old vines of Cabernet Franc, this Bourgueil has an intense nose of raspberry, redcurrant and notes of leather. Palate is full of fresh, juicy red fruit flavours with a savoury structure and a chocolate finish. Elegant tannins are paired to a refreshing, mouth-watering acidity. A top notch Cabernet Franc!
