La Boussole Pinot Noir 2016 Pays d'Oc

La Boussole is a nice Pinot Noir coming from the mountain part of Provence, in Southern France - altitude providing a cooler climate to this fragile grape. Low yields and an obsession for quality control are a perfect match for this great value bottle. We love the expressive notes of cherry, redcurrant, vanilla and the minty touch in the background. A third of this wine is matured in oak barrels, giving it just enough complexity to spend a really, really nice time. Ideal pairing for a tartare or carpaccio, it will also be very nice with a lamb shank!
