Terrane 2017 IGP Côtes du Tarn - La Cave de Labastide


Terrane is a lovely red wine from the Gaillac region in the South-West of France and made with two local grapes called Duras and Braucol. Those variety are only planted in this part of France, located North of Toulouse and are the main grapes used in the production of red wine in the Gaillac AOC.

La Cave de Labastide is an old cooperative created in the late 1940’s in the village of Labastide-de-Levis and have one hundred growers contributing grapes today. Everything remains very traditional, form the sustainable practices in the vineyards to the vinification in the cellar and its wines keep receiving awards and medal every year. This Terrane rouge is a great everyday wine, round and well-structured with notes of red fruits and spices. To drink slightly chilled as an aperitif or with charcuterie and cheese.
