Your Sommelier is very keen on Crémant de Bourgogne for the following reasons: They are sparkling wines made with the same traditional method and the same grapes as in Champagne, and are generally much better than an average Champagne, for a fraction of the price. This Crémant is elaborated with 2 thirds of Pinot Noir to give the structure and the freshness to the wine, and a third of Chardonnay for its aromas and the delicate small bubbles it creates. A very elegant sparkling from Burgundy, just add a couple of bottles to your order, you will not be disappointed!

A word about the domain
Jean-Luc Aegerter founded the domain when he acquired a few wines on Pinot Noir in 1988. He then developed it step by step, acquiring more vines but also creating a wine merchant activity. He also founded one of the most beautiful and well-known wine shops of Beaune.
His son Paul joined the domain in 2001 and has contributed to take it further, bringing in new ideas, creating new original wines and increasing its footprint abroad. Together, father and son have been consolidating the domain's reputation for producing high quality wines at a fair price.

Chorey-les-Beaune is a small (only 300 acres) and classic appellation from the Côte de Beaune area (close to Aloxe Corton and Savigny-les-Beaune), producing almost exclusively red wines.
