"An excellent cru bourgeois" according to Robert Parker. Located between Margaux and Saint-Julien, Lamothe-Bergeron has a fine gravel terroir that gives an elegant and classic Haut-Médoc. 16.5/20 "Blackish crimson. Low-key nose with rather electric fruit. Very firm fruit. Serious stuff with real spine. Well done!"

87/100 "Loads of berry fruit intermixed with some roasted herbs, spice box and licorice can be found in this excellent Haut-Medoc, which has medium body, lots of fragrance and very pure flavors. Drink it over the next 5-7 years."

89/100 "Focused, with solid bitter cherry, plum and cassis flavors framed by judicious toast. Lingering tobacco and iron notes keep this nicely grounded. Best from 2013 through 2018."

Château Doyac is an excellent Cru Bourgeois to have at home. With 70% of Merlot, it is round, fruity and has a lot of personality. Aromas of red cherry and raspberry on the nose, structure and spices on the palate. It shows a very decent complexity for this price range and we definitely recommend this 2009, which is one of the best vintage ever in Bordeaux.

Tasting starts with a very expressive nose of strawberry jam and spices. Château de Villegeorge 2010 - an outstanding vintage in Bordeaux - is a fruity Haut-Médoc, where fruit aromas are nicely balanced by tannins and a hint of toast from the ageing in oak barrels. Already great to drink today, it also has a great potential of cellaring. This wine has...
