An intense Margaux with a superb expressive nose of red cherries and blackberries. On the palate, it is a fruity and complex red with supple tannins and a really long toasted finish. There is something feminine in this bottle, coming from its beautiful style. A typical and affordable Margaux that we just loved it at first sip!

What experts say

87/100 "Margaux fragrance. Fine boned. Soft, seductive fruit. Harmonious. Drink 2015-2020."

16.5+/20 "Convincing on the nose: bold black fruits with a delightful herbal element. Just a bit of spicy oak. Refreshing acid with very finely milled tannin. Fragrant and elegant. Justifiably Margaux, and justifiably cru bourgeois. (RH)"

The second wine of the Château la Tour de Bessan is a great entry level Margaux - and especially affordable, which is not always the case in this appellation! This wine is smooth and feminin. Nose and palate are dominated by aromas of red fruit, and the light tannins are just enough to give a nice balance to the wine.

Le Cardinal de Duplessis, the second wine of Château Duplessis, has a discreet but beautiful and concentrated nose of blackberry and plum. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied and shows well-integrated tannins plus a good structure. A perfect bottle to discover the Moulis en Médoc appellation at a very reasonable price.

The second wine of Château de Villegeorge is a medium-bodied, easy-drinking Haut-Médoc at a sweet price. It shows classic Médoc aromas of gooseberry and blackberries, a hint of pepper with a lovely finish. A nice little red which would suit any kind of meat.

What we love about Château Duplessis 2007 is that it is just perfect to drink now. Originally of a relatively strong structure, it has had the perfect time to evolve in the bottle and open up today in your glass. Elegant aromas of ripe black fruit come on the palate, ending up on a toasted and peppery finish with really supple tannins. A beautiful bottle.
