La Demoiselle is the second wine of Sociando-Mallet. Made with a more balanced blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (coming from younger vines), it is softer and ready to drink much earlier than its big brother. A fresh and fruity palate with soft tannins a nice and complex finish with a hint of cedar: this second wine is just brilliant.

What experts say

15 - "Mid dark ruby. Rather murky nose as though the wood, which is clearly top-quality originally, is not the freshest. Polished and lightish. Very gravelly and high in acidity. Pretty hard work."

15 - "It has changed since the En-Primeur tasting, keeping a very high standard. Less creamy but more classy, more vibrant and elegant. A beautiful structure with a palate of cedar, rose and fresh red currant."

The second wine from Château Tour de Pez is actually pretty close to its older brother in terms of quality. Elaborated with younger vines of the property (25 vs 35 years old) and also aged in oak barrels for 12 months, it still shows a very nice complexity. You will love its fruit flavours and the aromatic, expressive finish. Great catch for a...
