"Certainly has more depth than Chasse-Spleen" - Jancis Robinson. This simply explains our choice to pick this bottle, which is a real success. Maucaillou is often considered as Chasse-Spleen's little brother, the most famous Château of the appellation, but it is definitely able to show a similar quality. This 2011 is a pure, balanced mid to full-bodied red, with fruity and floral aromas and a long finish. It will improve in the bottle, but is already a big pleasure today if you open it in advance.

16 "We like this initial nose of liquorice and fruit, with a beautiful intensity. Black fruit is still there on the palate in a solid structure."
|1* (Very good wine) "The 2011 offers a generous nose of ripe fruit with well-integrated wooden notes. On the palate it is dense and round, with powerful tannins. A Moulis with a lot of personality, which will improve over the years."|
Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey is a 1er Cru Classé of Sauternes, and this 2012 is a brilliant bottle for sweet wines lovers. It offers amazing flavours of orange, lemon and honey, with a real complexity.
