Château Bélingard Rouge 2015 AOC Bergerac

This Bergerac Rouge is the entry-level red wine of Château Bélingard. Blend of the four typical Bergerac grapes - Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec - and aged in vats, it is a perfect fruity medium-bodied red wine. Not too dry but not too sweet, very easy-drinking with plenty of red fruit aromas - cherry, blackberry - and round on the palate. Bergerac is known as a great alternative to Bordeaux and this bottle confirms it. Perfect with charcuterie or a barbecue, it would alose be a great match for last minute pizza!

Though Bergerac is not particularly known for its Rosé wine, some Châteaux have recently decided to produce very interesting dry and fruity Rosé. Made of Cabernet sauvignon and Merlot, we immediately liked this bottle, for it was not as light as Provence but still very easy to drink. Dry, slightly tart and refreshing, it offers aromas of red fruit -...
