La Lionne Rouge 2014 IGP d'Oc - Château de l’Engarran

It is quite simple; Your Sommelier fell in love with this cuvée which is an amazing value for money. It has been created after replanting vines on selected parcels to improve the quality of the signature red of the domain. A subtle blend of different grapes (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Grenache) ensures expressive notes of black and red fruit such as cherry and black berries, with notes of cocoa, black pepper and light spices. *** Outstanding Wine "The label is inspired by a statue representing a lioness crunching a bunch of grapes. This wine makes us roar with pleasure, it is complex and intense, a veritable melting-pot joining marinated pepper and garrigue scent. On the palate, a touch of vanilla, a hint of pepper and liquorice, warm notes of mocha. The wine evolves with suppleness, smoothness and melted tannins. Good taste, elegance and originality."

Gold Medal at Concours Général Agricole de Paris

Bronze Medal at Decanter World Wine Awards "Sweet, vanilla, smoky and blackberry aromas with a herbal note. Silky-sweet oak and expressive fruit on the palate."

87/100 "Beautiful garnet colour. Rich nose, reminiscent of wild herbs, thyme, bay leaf, pepper on a background of stone fruit. On the palate, far from warm peaks, the wine expresses itself with freshness, balance and suppleness. Undeniable know-how." (previous vintage)

Silver Medal at Concours des Vignerons Indépendants

Le Parc is the absolute cherry on the cake. Yes, it is an expensive Languedoc wine, but we have never tasted anything as such in the region. Le Parc is a huge, full-bodied and explosive red, made of 100% Syrah coming from a specific parcel. It shows an incredibly concentrated nose of roasted blackcurrant, cassis and eucalyptus. This is an amazing but unusual rosé from Languedoc. It is light and fresh as a Côtes de Provence - which is definitely what we love for a rosé. Ideal for an afternoon in the sun or even better, on a barbecue. Summer is not quite there yet, but you will be happy to have a few bottles ready as soon as the temperature starts coming up!
