A word about the domain
Property of the Brunel family since 1945, the Château de la Gardine belongs to the greatest domains in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It is spread over 120 acres of continuous vineyard, which is pretty rare in the area. The quality of the classic Cuvée Tradition is incredibly consistent, which makes it a great buy at any time – fruity as it should, without being too heavy. They also produce smaller high-end Cuvées, made from specific parcels or with different winemaking techniques.

About the wine:
Robert Parker: 87 (Wine Advocate #209 Oct 2013)
"The 2012 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is a good, medium-bodied and straightforward effort that offers up notes of honey blossom, stone fruits and hints of minerality. Staying nicely focused and fresh, it’s a solid effort to drink over the coming couple of years. Drink now-2015."

Jancis Robinson: 16 (2 Jan 2014 by JR)
"Broad and rich. Lots of sweetness but interesting depths too."
