Les Pierres d'Argent 2013 Languedoc - Château de Lascaux

Coming from specific parcels, the high end white of the Château is wonderful. It shows clean aromas of apricot, peach and lime ending with a long, luscious, toasted finish. Wooden notes coming from French oak barrels are perfectly integrated and give a lot of balance and complexity, reminding some wines from Burgundy. This bottle is definitely in our top 3 for Languedoc whites!

90-93/100 "les Pierres d’Argent Blanc is one serious white that should be up with the crème de la crème of the whites from the Languedoc. A blend of 40% Roussanne, 40% Marsanne and 20% Vermentino that’s brought up all in barrel, it reveals a medium gold color as well as gorgeous notes of white peach, citrus blossom, tropical fruit and brioche. Medium-bodied, textured, elegant and layered, it shines on its purity of fruit and length."
