Ante Vinum is made from old vines of Sauvignon Blanc - 50 years old - grown on gavel soils of the east of the appellation. The old vines definitely brings a something to the wine, which is much more that just a classic Loire Sauvignon Blanc! The nose is fine and elegant, with notes of white flower, grapefruit and blackcurrant bud. The palate is soft, fresh and concentrated with flavours of citrus, white fruit (peach, pear) and even unexpected apricot notes. Very long finish, particularly long finish for a Sauvignon Blanc. Beautiful wine at a very reasonable price!

2* "This Sauvignon Blanc from clay and limestone soils of the east of the appellation has a crystal-clear, silver-sparkling robe. Open on blackcurrant bud, white flowers and grapefruit, the nose is elegant and well typed. Citrus fruits reappear along with white fruits (peach, pear), in a soft, silky and fine palate. A consistent and very charming wine."
86/100 "Light yellow color, green hues. Pleasant nose combining citrus fruit, stone fruit, blackcurrant leaf. Broad attack, fleshy, concentrated, fresh, delicious intensity and persistence, with a spicy dimension. A beautiful Touraine for tasty dishes."
