We knew that Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil could mean complex wines, but this one is above our expectations. Made with Cabernet Franc grapes coming from specific, ideally oriented parcels, the wine is aged in oak barrels for almost 30 months - similarly to prestigious Bordeaux or Rioja wines. The result is a full-bodied wine showing a beautiful balance, intense flavours of ripe fruit and a spicy, very long finish. A superb wine that would benefit for further cellaring, ideally.
