"Le Clos des Boucherottes" is a monopoly owned by Coste Caumartin - they have been the single winegrower on this jewel since 1908. This Premier Cru is just amazing with intense aromas of black cherry, sweet spices and a hint of cedar. On the palate it is a huge and complex wine, showing a beautiful structure and a long, long smoky finish. A lot of emotions in this superb bottle!

![]() | 93 "Wooden nose of cherry and prune jam. An overwhelming 1er Cru due to its multiple aromas, its generosity and complexity, its fine tannins. Will become a truly big wine in the future." | ||||||
![]() | 86-88 "The 2012 Pommard 1er Cru Le Clos des Boucherottes is the domaine’s 1.83-hectare monopole acquired in 1908, located just below Clos des Mouches on the other side of the appellation boundary. The vines here are 24-years old. Here, the aromatics veer towards the red fruit profile, a mixture of crushed strawberry and black currant aromas with the oak nicely integrated in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with good grip on the entry. The tannins have more finesse than the village crus and it feels fresher, more approachable and more refined towards the grainy finish. Drink this over the next 8-10 years." |
