Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu 2015 - Domaine du Chardonnay, Etienne Boileau

Mont de Milieu is one of the most prestigious climates in Chablis. This cuvée has the specificity to be 20% aged in oak barrels, which is quite unusual - although this practice is gaining ground in the region. This gives a more structured wine, with aromas of white fruit and a nutty finish. A beautiful complexity for this Premier Cru, highly recommended!

What experts say
Gilbert-Gaillard.jpg 92/100 "Brilliant light gold. Shy nose gradually opening up to apple and white flowers. Supple, velvety attack leading into a balanced, generous, lively and silky palate with the clear-cut nose aromas. A beautifully crafted first growth." (2014 vintage)

Petit Chablis is the ideal bottle to discover this unique region. Coming from a single parcel - which is pretty rare for a Petit Chablis - it is a simple, light-bodied white, with lovely notes of citrus and white fruits. It has the mineral touch of a Chablis and a slightly salty finish. Perfect for after-work drinks. Very good value here!

This Chablis is the main production of the domain, and receives the greatest possible care - especially when volume produced is low! It is a very typical Chablis, with a refreshing acidity, notes of citrus, almonds, white flowers and a lemony finish. Very well-made wine which we loved... definitely a great catch.

Vosgros is the first Premier Cru we have selected. Coming from a very tiny parcel, it shows a nice complexity and flavours of citrus, honeysuckle and lime. A great balance between aromas and acidity, reflecting its terroir. A delicate and delicious Chablis Premier Cru under £20, worth every penny.
