Chablis 2015 - Domaine du Chardonnay, Etienne Boileau

This Chablis is the main production of the domain, and receives the greatest possible care - especially when volume produced is low! It is a very typical Chablis, with a refreshing acidity, notes of citrus, almonds, white flowers and a lemony finish. Very well-made wine which we loved... definitely a great catch.

What experts say

87/100 "Brilliant light gold, green tints. Fairly expressive nose of apple, pear, a tropical touch and floral tone. Powerful, supple, full, mouth-coating palate with refined aromas. Soft tangy finish supported by wonderful freshness. A Chablis that stays the course!"

90/100 "The Chablis Villages was cropped at 60 hectoliters per hectare from 33-year-old vines. It has a subtle marine influenced bouquet - shucked oyster shells interwoven into the citrus fruit, just a faint anise scent in the background. The palate is fresh and poised with citrus lemon and grapefruit notes. The acidity does not pummel you into submission, but it is present and imparts great tension on the animated finish. This performed well above expectation under blind conditions." (2014 vintage)
