This is a cracking Meursault from 60-year-old-vines and of rich complexity. Buttery and floral aromas come together with flavours of lime, ripe apricot and peach. Tasting ends up with a long and toasted finish. A beautiful bottle that will show you why Burgundy white wines have this reputation. Just outstanding!

90/100 "The Meursault les Clous, which comes from yellow marn soils, has a taut and focused bouquet with jasmine and honeysuckle scents unfurling in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a touch of bitter lemon on the entry. This flows along nicely with a touch of shaved ginger enlivening the finish of what is a well-crafted, thoroughly enjoyable Meursault. This is worth hunting down." (previous vintage)
1* "Between Les Clous "Du dessus" and "Du dessous", this Climat forms a large rectangle of 18 ha in the middle of the hillside. Thibaut Marion has harvested the fruit of a sixty-year-old vine and signs a Meursault nicely toasted, grilled and buttered, ample, rich, powerful in the mouth, balanced by a fair acidity. Good potential." (previous vintage)
