Rully "Vieilles Vignes" 2015 Seguin Manuel

This Rully is made of old Chardonnay vines, providing the wine with more fruity flavours and making it more concentrated, for a better complexity. Flavours of ripe apple and hints of peach end up on a beautiful and fresh finish. An excellent bottle which will be perfect on seafood or white meat.

Jancis Robinson

15.5/20 "Ever so slightly acrid, sulphur, which quickly dissipates leaving sharp-sweet cooking apple on the nose. Cedar and vanilla and firm texture supporting a strongly apple-flavoured mid palate. Tingling acidity but not much length. There' s a little bit of oak here, and it almost feels like it could do with less." (previous vintage)

Robert Parker Wine Advocate

87/100 "The Rully Vieilles Vignes has a touch of baking powder and chalk on the mild-mannered nose. Perhaps it needs a little more intensity but it is nicely defined. The palate is crisp and fresh with Granny Smith apples and fresh lime, the finish composed and focused. This is a very decent Rully" (previous vintage)

Wine Spectator

90/100 "This elegant version leans towards the racy style, with finely etched lemon, green apple, spice and stone flavors. Fine length." (previous vintage)

Guide Hachette des Vins

1* "From purchased grapes, this wine exudes fresh and elegant scents of citrus and white fruits, relayed after aeration by floral notes. A beautiful harmony characterizes the mouth, between roundness, tonicity and persistent minerality. Pretty saline finish that reinforces the dynamic side of this wine." (previous vintage)

Gilbert & Gaillard

90/100 "Bright golden colour. Inviting nose with toasty vanilla notes, white fruits, white flowers. The palate is lively, fresh, very elegant, refined, with rich and complex aromas. Well-balanced. Persistant spicy finish."

Gault & Millau
