Vosne-Romanée is located in the Côte de Nuits and produces some the most remarkable wines in the world like La Tâche or La Romanée-Conti, which are two Grand Crus of the appellation. Even if this wine is not a Grand Cru, it still is an excellent wine and for a much better price. The nose is nice and intense, with aromas of red fruit, spices and tobacco. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, charming and tannic. It develops notes of red cherry, pepper, undergrowth and spices, followed by a very persistant finish. A wine that you can start enjoying now or keep for another 8-10 years if you have enough patience!

16.5/20 "Pure, jewelled, ripe, berry notes peal out the glass with almost unseemly sweetness and charm. All reserve abandoned in favour of gregariousness. And that almost carries through to the palate... Abundant charming fruit held in check, just, by the sharp bony elbow of very young acidity and not-quite-raw oak. Vanilla pod and tea leaf, lovely sapidity and sappiness, playing tag with wiry, sinewed tannins. Quite moreish on the finish. (TC)"
91/100 "The 2014 Vosne-Romanée Aux Communes, the second vintage from Seguin-Manuel, has a light red cherry, tomato leaf and tobacco-scented bouquet, the whole cluster fruit (25%) lending a pleasant earthiness. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, the acidity well judged, hints of kirsch and red cherries, even a little dab of peppermint on the finish. This is a Vosne-Romanée with a spring in its step."
2* "From a vineyard attached to the estate at the end of 2013, this Vosne-Romanée is the first vintage signed by Seguin-Manuel. A wine that expresses notes of undergrowth and spices, still tannic and woody but promising and persistent. To wait."
