G de Gasparets 2010 - Fortified wine

Château Fabre-Gasparets also produces the most amazing fortified red wine, and we are glad to have secured a few cases! Before drinking it, we suggest you start cooking a chocolate fondant– or any kind of dark chocolate dessert – to match this beautiful wine. You will then see the magic of its various aromas: candied red fruit, cherry, fig, prune, quince and nut. On the palate, it is creamy, smooth, spicy and supple. It is the ideal wine to finish a meal and an incredible treat for any amateur of fortified wines.

The Languedoc is one of the main producers of Rosé in France thanks to a warm and dry climate. Some are very Provence-like, just like this very refreshing cuvée: light, fresh and fruity rosé (raspberry, apple), just as we like it. Though it is not quite summer yet, but who says we can’t enjoy a nice glass of rosé in front of the fireplace!

This cuvée - produced in a tiny quantity - is the top of what the Fabre family can do, giving it a very special care. Old vines of Carignan bring in a huge personality: Dark colour, intense nose of spices, rich palate of cassis and spicy flavours. Tannins are still present but show a beautiful harmony. Definitely a wine to keep for a few years in your...
