A wonderful Côte-Rôtie here, we simply love it. Made of 100% Syrah, it develops flavours of red and black fruit, subtle spices and violet. Length of the finish is really striking, with a few complex notes of truffle, leather and toast. A beautiful bottle, already delicious now but which can age perfectly if you are able to forget it in your cellar!

|What experts say|
92/100 "I love both 2014 Côte Rôties, which are undeniable successes in the vintage. From a site in the northern sector of the appellation (close to Grandes Places), the 2014 Côte Rôtie Lieu Dit Montmain sports a deep ruby/purple color as well as ripe, voluptuous, serious notes of black raspberries, incense, toasted bread, lavender and spice. I love its aromatics and it’s elegant, medium-bodied and downright silky on the palate. Made from 100% Syrah and aged in 15% new French oak, drink it through 2024."
93/100 "Dark and winey, with a serious core of plum paste, cherry preserves and cassis that is tightly coiled. Loads of black tea and sweet tobacco details frame the finish, with an alluring singed bay accent weaving in at the very end. Best from 2018 through 2028."
