A delicious entry level Côtes du Rhône red with subtle aromas of ripe berries, cherry and plum. The well-integrated tannins and the slightly smoky finish are very elegant. A very nice discovery here, rated 90 by The Wine Spectator! Highly recommended by Your Sommelier given its value for money.

A word about the domain
Laurus is the high-end brand of the winemaker Gabriel Meffre, a “Negoce” house created in 1936. From a small family business at the beginning, it has become a well-established house, producing great and very consistent wines either from its own domains or its “negoce” activity. For Laurus, the house is selecting only the best grapes from their partners and is taking a very important part in the management of the vineyards to ensure the highest quality. Winemaking is then made according to the house “savoir-faire” and many critics have been praising their wines as great example of the Rhône Valleys appellations.
