|A word about the domain|
It all started in 1831 when Bernard Bichot founded a small wine brokerage house in Burgundy. The family story grew over the years and passed on to 6 generation
up to Alberic Bichot, the latest heir who manages the house today. The house is organised around 4 domains in Chablis, Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits and Côte Chalonnaise, plus several partner vineyards that provide the grape for the “négoce” wines. In a nutshell, Albert Bichot is a house that treats all wines as if there were Grand Crus and produces excellent wines in all categories. Best Red Wine Maker of the year in 2004, Best White Wine Maker of the year in 2011… and many more distinctions for this great house.

"The only 2012 Bichot red that is already bottled. Bought-in grapes. Gentle red fruit, hint of caramel sweetness. Then much more savoury on the palate. Dry, darker fruited than the aroma. Quite firm tannins but rounded. (JH)"

This Aloxe-Corton comes from a parcel which partly has a Grand Cru classification. Fruity and spicy red with hints of smokiness, red fruit aromas and sweet tannins. This is a 7-year-old wine with a strong identity which is exactly at maturity. Anyone who likes red wines with character will definitely love this 1er Cru!
