Pommard 2012 - Albert Bichot

One of the most iconic appellations in Burgundy, Pommard is well known for its structured, tannic and spicy red wines. After a few years of cellaring, this bottle is now starting to open up - and it's amazing. It is both elegant and powerful, with notes of red fruit and sweet spices. A 16-months ageing in oak barrels gives it a solid structure with a very pleasant, long, smoky finish. Massive wine - highly recommended.

Did you know? Pommard is a Pinot Noir-only appellation!
