Côtes du Rhône Douceur de Fruit 2016 Mas de Sainte Croix

A wonderful Grenache based Côtes du Rhône made with old vines from a relatively high vineyard (400m) and in sustainable farming - no chemical products at all. The nose exhibits a gentle fragrance of fresh ripe fruit (strawberry, black cherry) and spice. Palate is round, soft and fruity with spicy aromas in the background, ending on a touch of mint on the finish. Very nice overall balance and light tannins. In a nutshell, a very well made wine, all about fruit and pleasure.

Guide Hachette des Vins

2* "Lovely black color, dense and deep. This wine opens nicely on intense aromas of black fruits and spices. It blooms in the mouth around a round and ample matter, enhanced by fine and melted tannins, gently extracted. A lot of structure and elegance."
