Crozes Hermitage Blanc "Domaine Mule Blanche" 2016 - Paul Jaboulet Aîné

White Crozes Hermitage might not be the most common wine but it remains very typical of the Northern Rhône. A lovely aromatic wine, full of ripe fruit aromas such as peach and pineapple, as well as white flowers. The long, creamy and nutty finish calls for the next sip. An amazing bottle from a region highly dominated by red wines, which proves that white wines from the Northen Rhône are definitely worth discovering!

90/100 "A softer, more forward, opulent and medium-bodied effort, the 2015 Crozes Hermitage Domaine Mule Blanche offers notes of orange blossom, salty minerality and tropical notes in plump, fruit-driven style. This comes from the same terroir as the Thalabert and should be enjoyed over the coming 3-4 years." (previous vintage)

16.5/20 "50% each of Marsanne and Roussanne, aged for nine months in 15% new oak. Rich, almost tropical fruit character. Creamy texture and very rich aromatic range – floral, spicy. Warm but fresher than many of its peers – thanks to the acidic element provided by the Roussanne, they believe. (RH)" (previous vintage)
