Domaine Mouréou is owned by Patrick Ducournau, one of the most influential winemaker in the South-West, and managed by the Laplace family from Château d’Aydie. This upmarket cuvée - yet very affordable - had a meaningful impact on his reputation. It exhibits a very intense nose of concentrated, ripe red and black fruit. Palate is round and full, finish is incredibly long... Complexity is definitely here: this bottle should not be ashamed to be compared with the stars of Madiran, worth twice its price.

|What experts say|
91/100 "This richly fruity and tannic single vineyard wine is solid, concise and firm. It has great swathes of ripe black fruit, along with dry tannins that will take a while to soften. This is pure Tannat: ageworthy, dense and powerful."
