Cahors is one of the most emblematic appellations in the South West of France and it’s the obvious choice to discover this amazing region. Sometimes called the “Black Wine” given its dark colour, Cahors wines are mainly made of the Malbec grape, which may be blended with other grapes like Merlot or Tannat. Château du Cèdre is one of the most famous wines of Cahors - if not the most. The winemakers gained their reputation trying different experiments on the vines and using old-style machines in the vineyard to keep the tradition going. This wine boasts superb aromas of ripe black fruit with sweet spices, fine tannins and a wooden finish. A superb expression of the Cahors appellation!

|What experts say|
93/100 "This wine is ripe in spicy black-currant aromas on the nose and intense in juicy black fruit on the dense palate. The rich, generous layers of fruit perfectly balance the tannins that build up to a harmonious whole. Still young, it will be best from 2019."
